Asian Extravaganza

Day 1 Depart Home City
Fly to Beijing, the political, economic and cultural center of the People's Republic of China. Lose one day crossing the International Dateline.

Day 2 Enroute to Beijing

Day 3 Arrive in Beijing (D)
Upon arrival at Beijing Capitol Airport, you will be met and transferred to Ritz Carlton Hotel for three nights.  Rest of the day is at leisure.  Tonight, enjoy a Welcome dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 4 Beijing (B/L/D)
Visit historic Tian An Men Square where Mao Tse Tung first raised the flag of the People’s Republic.   Following which, tour the Imperial Palace, also called the Forbidden City and its gardens.  After lunch, visit the Hutong by pedicab and take a leisurely stroll through the 700-year old narrow, winding street that surround the Forbidden City.  Watch the daily routines of the local people in their courtyard homes. Then visit the magnificent Summer Palace, a former retreat for the Imperial family. Tonight, enjoy the “Legend of Kungfu” performance after dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 5 Beijing (B/L/SD)
This morning visit the Ming Tombs, the beautifully decorated burial place of the emperors of the Ming Dynasty also known as the Underground Palace.  After lunch, experience the unforgettable!  Visit one of the world’s most remarkable sights – the Great Wall of China, built over 2,000 years ago by Emperor Qin.  The Great Wall stretches over 6,000 km across the top of China.  Tonight, enjoy a Peking Duck Dinner at a selected local restaurant.

Day 6 Beijing - Xian (B/L/SD)
This morning, marvel at the splendid Temple of Heaven and the Hall of Prayer for Bountiful Harvests.  After lunch, fly to ancient Xian, the home of the terra-cotta warriors.  Transfer to the Hyatt Regency Hotel for two nights.  In the evening, enjoy a sumptuous Dumpling Banquet dinner.

Day 7 Xian (B/L/SD)
Enjoy a full-day excursion visiting some of Xian’s magnificent ancient monuments: the Banpo Museum and the incredible Grand Mausoleum of Qin Emperor Shi Huang Di, the first emperor of China, protected by 6,000 life-size terra-cotta warriors and horses.  Visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the 7th century Big Wild Goose Pagoda.  In the evening, enjoy a delectable dinner with superb entertainment in the Tang Dynasty tradition.

Day 8 Xian – Guilin (B/L/D)
After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a visit to the Provincial Museum, housing more than 370,000 exhibits of different times and kinds. It is a grand complex of buildings imitating the architecture style of the Tang Dynasty (618-907).  Also visit the ancient City Wall.  In the afternoon, transfer to the airport for your flight to Guilin.  Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to the Sheraton Hotel Guilin for one night.  Rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 9 Guilin - Yangshou (B/L/D)
Start the day with a scenic boat trip down the Li River offering 30 miles of breathtaking, mist-shrouded mountains rising from the riverbanks.  Since ancient times, this landscape has been the subject of countless poems and paintings.  Lunch will be served on board.  You will also visit Elephant Trunk Hill, the city’s symbol.  Your cruise will end at the colorful market town of Yangshou, where you have an opportunity to shop for delightful souvenirs and gifts.  Overnight at the Paradesa Yangshou Resort.  

Day 10 Guilin – Hong Kong (B)
After breakfast at the hotel, marvel at China’s ancient and scenic wonderland. The Reed Flute Cave with its spectacular limestone formations and the beautiful Fubo Hill.  In the evening, transfer to the airport for your flight to Hong Kong.  Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to the Langham Hotel for three nights. 

Day 11 Hong Kong (B)
Enjoy a half-day tour to explore Hong Kong Island and feel the pulse of Hong Kong, the City of Life.  Visit the Aberdeen fishing village of days gone by, which today, is home to the world’s largest floating restaurant. Marvel at scenic Repulse Bay with its long stretch of golden sandy beaches and also admire the picturesque southern tip of the island. Then travel to Victoria Peak and take a peak tram ride. Take in the truly breathtaking panoramic view of Victoria Harbour, the mountains of Kowloon and the islands of the South China Sea.

Day 12 Hong Kong (B)
The entire day is at leisure.  Explore on your own or join an optional tour.

Day 13 Hong Kong - Bali (B)
This morning, transfer to the airport for your flight to Bali, the magical island where art, music and dance have enchanted visitors for decades.  Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to the Ayodya Resort.  Rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 14 Bali (B)
Enjoy a half-day tour exploring warm, tropical Bali with a stop to Denpasar, where you will experience the energy of this bustling market square.  In the evening, enjoy a spectacular performance of Kechak dance at a famous local theatre. 

Day 15 Bali  (B/L)
Enjoy a full-day tour of Kintamani’s arts and crafts enclaves.  Your first stop on this tour is to enjoy the skillful Balinese dancers before we continue to visit talented Balinese artists: a silversmith at Celuk and a woodcarver at Mas, both in their traditional workshops. The journey proceeds to Kintamani to view on the beautiful Lake Batur and active Mount Batur Volcano.  Next destination is Tampaksiring, “the Fountain of Youth” and Holy Spring. 

Day 16 Bali – Singapore (B)
After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the airport for your flight to Singapore.  Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to the Mandarin Oriental for two nights.  Rest of the evening is at leisure.

Day 17 Singapore (B/D)
After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a half-day city tour.  Truly a multicultural city, Singapore offers visitors a colorful and exciting atmosphere. Your city tour begins with the Princess Elizabeth Walk, St. Andrew’s Cathedral, City Hall, Victoria Memorial Hall theatre and the famous statue of Sir Stamford Raffles.  Head up to Mt. Faber for a superb panoramic view of the city before visiting the beautiful Botanical Gardens.  In the evening, enjoy dinner by the River, Singaporean’s latest sunset haunt.  Enroute to the world’s largest fountain, take in the beautiful sight of the central business district via Benjamin Sheares Bridge.  Continuing on to Bugis Street, your guide will take you for a stroll at the night market or ‘pasar malam’ where you may chance upon bargains you never imagine.  Our last stop for the evening is at The Raffles Hotel.  Enjoy an optional “Singapore Sling”.

Day 18 Singapore - Bangkok (B/D)
After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the airport for your flight to Bangkok.  Upon arrival in Bangkok, you will be met and transferred to the Grand Hyatt Erawan Hotel for three nights.  Tonight, enjoy a delectable Thai dinner and an extraordinary performance of cultural dance.

Day 19 Bangkok (B)
Today, explore Bangkok’s superb art and architecture.  Visit three famous temples – the Wat Benchmabophit (Marble Temple), the Wat Pho (Reclining Buddha), and the Wat Trimitr (Golden Buddha).  In the afternoon, visit the Grand Palace, which is an ancient Siamese court and the residence of the kings of Bangkok. The palace consists of the Reception and Funeral Palace, the Throne Hall, the Coronation Hall and the Royal Guest House.  Afterwards, visit the beautiful Emerald Buddha Temple. 

Day 20 Bangkok (B)
Free day at leisure or join an optional tour.

Day 21 Bangkok – Home City (B)
After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the airport via Hong Kong for your flight home.  Bon Voyage!!!
