Day 1: Arrive Hanoi (D) Upon arrival in Noi Bai International airport, you will be met and transferred to the Sofitel Plaza Hanoi / Sofitel Legend Metropole (after April 2011) 5-star. Tonight, enjoy a welcome dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 2: Hanoi - Halong (B/D) After breakfast, explore this cultural city with a visit to One Pillar Pagoda , a wooden structure built in 1049 that sits on stilts over a lake; the Museum of Fine Arts, a magnificent building featuring all aspects of Vietnam's contemporary fine arts; Temple of Literature, founded in 1070 by Emperor Ly Thanh Tong who dedicated it to Confucius in order to honor scholars and men of literary accomplishment; the Lake of the Resorted Sword and the Old Quarter of “36 streets and 36 wares”. In the afternoon, drive 160 km to Halong City. Overnight at Novotel Ha Long Resort 4-star.
Day 3: Halong - Hanoi - Danang - Hoi An (B/L/D) After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a morning boat cruise through the spectacular Halong Bay with stops at its stunning caves and grottoes. Enjoy a seafood lunch onboard. After disembarking the boat, travel back to Hanoi. Transfer to the airport for your flight to Danang. Upon arrival in Danang, drive through the Marble Mountains to Hoi An. Check-in at Life Heritage Resort 4-star.
Day 4: Hoi An (B/D) Enjoy a walking tour on Hoi An’s narrow cobblestone streets and visit the Phuc Kien Pagoda, the 400 year old Japanese Covered Bridge, the colourful bazaar, and the local market. Cruise on the Thu Bon River to Kim Bong Village on Cam Kim Island, a village of woodworkers and boat building families.
Day 5: Hoi An - Hue (B/D) This morning, drive to Hue, the capital of Vietnam during the Nguyen Dynasty (1802-1945). En route, you will pass through Danang before climbing over the Mountain Clouds Hai Van. Pass and the beautiful fishing village of Lang Co. In Danang, visit the Cham Museum , which houses the finest collection of Cham sculpture in the world. The museum, which is a replica of Cham architecture, displays about 300 original sandstone and terra cotta artefacts, dating back to between the fifth and the sixteenth century. Upon arrival in Hue, check in at the Saigon Morin Hotel 4-star.
Day 6: Hue (B/D) This morning, travel upstream via a Dragon boat towards the Thien Mu Pagoda, Hue’s most preserved religious monument standing on the riverbank with its seven-floored tower. Also visit the Imperial Citadel. During the afternoon, visit the elaborate Royal tombs of Emperor Tu Duc and Khai Dinh. Rest of the day is at leisure
Day 7: Hue - Ho Chi Minh City (B/D) Transfer to the airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City, formerly Saigon. Upon arrival in Saigon you will be met and transferred to the Caravelle Hotel 5-star for one night. Spend the afternoon visiting historic landmarks, such as the Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral and the Central Post Office
Day 8: Ho Chi Minh City - Can Tho (B/L/D) Take a morning drive from Saigon to Can Tho. Can Tho is at the centre of Mekong Delta, amongst a network of rivers, brooks, canals and ditches. The province is about 170 km from Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival, check-in at the Victoria Can Tho Resort 4-star.
Day 9: Can Tho - Chau Doc (B/D) This morning, take a boat ride to the Cai Rang Floating Market, the largest and most bustling of the Mekong Delta markets. Fruit and vegetable vendors assemble from all over, hanging samples of their wares on long poles above. Later on, travel to Chau Doc, a town in the Mekong Delta region bordered by Cambodia. Overnight at the Victoria Hotel Chau Doc 4-star.
Day 10: Chau Doc - Phnom Penh (B/D) After breakfast at the hotel, board the Victoria Speedboat to Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia. Upon arrival in Phnom Penh, embark on a city tour with a visit to the National Museum, which houses Khmer art; the Royal Palace built in 1866 by King Norodom; the Silver Pagoda whose floor is made up of 5,000 silver tiles then ending at a visit to either the Central or Russian Market. Overnight at the InterContinental Hotel 5-star.
Day 11: Phnom Penh - Siem Reap (B/D) This morning, transfer to the airport for your flight to Siem Reap. Upon arrival, check in at the Victoria Angkor Resort & Spa 5-star. After check in at the hotel, start your tour with a short drive to Rolous to see the ruins of the Rolous Group. The ruins are among the oldest Khmer monuments in the Angkor area, dating to the 9 th century. Two key temple sites remain, Preah Ko and Bakong. Later on in the afternoon, visit the Khmer ruins of Angkor Wat, one of the world’s most impressive historic sites. The magnificent temple dedicated to the Hindu god Vishnu by King Suryavarman II. It was constructed over a period of 30 years and features the longest continuous bas-relief in the world, which runs along the outer gallery walls and narrates stories from Hindu mythology. In 1992 the UNESCO declared the monument and the whole city of Angkor a World Heritage Site.
Day 12: Siem Reap (B/SD) After breakfast, proceed to the graceful Khmer Temple of Shiva - Banteay Srei - built in the 11th century. On the way back, stop at Banteay Samre, the three-tiered temple-hill of Pre Rup. Here we view the Bantey Kdei with its rarely seen sculpted female deities, the Lake of Srah Srang, and the immpressive Ta Prohm ruin that had nearly disappeared into the jungle and remains overgrown. Visit the Ta Keo, Chau Say Tevada and Thommanon temples before returning to the hotel. This evening, enjoy dinner at the Angkor Village Hotel along with a Khmer Traditional Dance show.
Day 13: Siem Reap - Bangkok (B) After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Bangkok. Upon arrival in Bangkok, transfer to the Novotel Suvarnnabhumi Airport Hotel 4-star via hotel shuttle bus. Rest of the day is at leisure on your own.
Day 14: Bangkok - Home (B) Head to the airport for your return flight home.
