Day 1: Arrive Kunming (D)
Arrive in Kunming, the capital of China's Yunan Province. Check-in to the deluxe Kai Wah Plaza International Hotel 5-star. In the afternoon, drive to the Western Hills and enjoy a scenic chairlift ride up the hill. From the top, a path winds down the famous ‘Dragon Gate’. Tonight, enjoy a minority folk dance show ‘Impression of Yunan’
Day 2: Kunming (B/L/D)
Today, drive to the famous ‘Stone Forest’, consisting of 80 hectares of bizarre-shaped limestone cliffs created over 280 million years ago
Day 3: Kunming - Dali (B/L/D)
Today, fly to Dali, the capital of Nanzhao State. Check-in to the Regent Hotel 5-star. From there, visit the incredible Three Pagoda Temple. This evening enjoy a Bai minority dance show and three-course tea ceremony.
Day 4: Dali - Li Jiang (B/L/D)
This morning, drive north to Li Jiang, an ancient mountain town. Meet rugged mountain people from many ethnic groups - Naxi Lisu, Pumi, Nuosu Yi and Tibetan. Stay at the Grand Hotel Lijiang 4-star or the Banyan Tree Lijiang Hotel 5.5 star in the old city.
Day 5: Li Jiang (B/L/D)
Tour Li Jiang's old town, situated on a plateau 2,400 meters above sea level. Also visit the spectacular Bai Sha Mural and Black Dragon Pool Park.
Day 6: Li Jiang (B/L/D)
Take a Cable Car to the top of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, 5,596 meters above sea level. The snowcovered mountains resemble a jade dragon sleeping in the clouds, hence giving rise to the mountain’s name. Complete your day with a visit to the Naxi Village and Yu Feng Temple.
Day 7: Li Jiang - Zhongdian (B/L/D)
In the morning, travel to Zhongdian and visit a village overlooking the first bend in the Yangtze River. Then proceed to the Tiger Leaping Gorge. En-route, visit the Stone Drum Town where Mao Tse Tung started The Long March. Stay at the deluxe Zhongdian Paradise Hotel 5-star.
Day 8: Zhongdian - Ringha (B/L/D)
Visit the 300 year-old Songzanglin Monastery and see the fantastic treasures housed inside. Next, marvel at the scenic Bita Lake, also known as the “Pearl on the Plateau”. Finally, visit Ringha, a traditional Tibetan village built around the sacred monastery of the Five Wisdom Buddhas. Tonight stay at Paradise Hotel 4-star or the Banyan Tree Righa 5.5-star.
Day 9: Depart Ringha (B)
This morning, fly to Kunming.
